Max was a kid with plans that were clear:
"I'll get me a dragon regardless of fear."

"This kid is insane", granny could tell,
"Such story is never to end up quite well."

"This kid's maybe crazy, but hopefully cool,
he might be a winner, a destiny's tool."

So Max was determined to go on his way,
no doubt should arise, be as it may.

Calmly and bravely he went on a hunt.
Morning was broken, time for his stunt.

Max wanted to scream, fear was intense,
he breathed in deeply, the forest was dense.

A trap for the dragon Max soon set up there.
The dragon could come from any just where.

He waited for days and nights that were three,
the wild dragon sent word: "Wait there for me."

It was a bad dragon of arogant stand,
it did what it wanted and rummaged the land.

Our kid hero being so patient and brave,
the dragon appeared and not to behave.

Before dragon got what really went down,
he entered the trap and gave Max a frown.

What battle! What anger! The anguish and sound!
Soon hills and the forest were burned to the ground.

Still Max went on fighting knowing no fear.
The dragon's end got there too fast and too near.

With water gun Max soon put out the flames
Skillfully handling battlefield games.

The water extinguished all dragon's fire,
it lost its fury, smothered desire.

The beast tired then, was wet and aside,
Max opened a box and put it inside.

From that day forever kids could sleep tight,
for dragons would never unsettle their night.

Kids know for a fact that dragons are toys,
in stories, in poems and boxes of boys.
